The Knight and the Skunk - 38a

"Since I can't have the whale for a pet, I need a new pet," said the prince.

"I think I need a skunk for a pet," said the prince.

"I don't think so," said the knight.  "That would not be very bright."

"Off you go!" said the prince to the knight.  "Get me a skunk!"

The prince sent the knight back to his tent.

"Where do I look for a skunk?" asked the knight.

"I will give you a hint," said a knight with blond hair.

"You have to hunt for a trunk," said the blond prince.

"One trunk has a lot of junk in it," said the blond prince. "One trunk has a skunk in it."

"Thank you for the hint," the prince said to the blond prince.

The prince rode up the hill to look for a trunk with junk.

The first trunk had a little or slight smell.

"This is not the scent of a skunk," said the prince.  "This is not the right trunk."

"It is just a lot of junk!" said the knight.

The next trunk had a strong smell.

"This is the scent of a skunk," said the knight.

"The skunk is in this trunk," the knight said.

"How do I get the skunk out of the trunk?" he asked.

"I see a pond," said the knight.

"I will dunk the trunk in the pond."

"That would not be very bright," said the blond knight.

"Just take the skunk in the trunk to the prince," said the blond knight.

"Now that is very very bright," said the knight.

"You stink!" said the prince to the knight.

"I don't need a skunk for a pet," said the prince.  "It will make me stink too!"
